Excerpt from ‘False Dandelions’

Story excerpt from  ‘FALSE DANDELIONS’…

LaBrea is having breakfast with her father.  LaBrea speaks “Daddy, you’re puttin’ on the pounds. Maybe you can use yo’ day off to pull yo’ bike out the garage an’ go for a ride like me.”   Somewhat playfully, Sheriff Woods slowly turns his head to face his loving daughter then shoots her a scornful eye.   LaBrea speaks ” Okay, that’s my cue to leave.”
